The Lemhi Education Project is a sub-committee of the Lemhi County Economic Development Association and was formed by a group of educators, business-owners and community members. LEP exists to reduce, for the residents of Lemhi County, the negative impact of geographic isolation from educational opportunities.
The Lemhi Education Project strives to improve the lives of the citizens of Lemhi County by:
1) providing in-person, professional expertise AND
2) connecting community members with critical resources with the goal of maximizing their investment in training and education.
Meet the LEP Team
Laurie runs the LEP GED tutoring program. In addition to her work with LEP, Laurie has worked with the Salmon School District for over twenty years and currently serves as the district's Title 1 Teacher/Director. Laurie enjoys teaching because she loves helping people enrich their lives by reaching their goals and getting where they want to go.
Diane Smith is the tireless coordinator of LEP's The energy and devotion that Tiffanie so

In her fifty-two year career, Diane has worked in as both Director and Committee Member made
almost every discipline of nursing from ICU to it possible for so many community members to
psychiatric to hospice. Her favorite part of teaching take advantage of post-secondary educational
